But just remember this is NOT a termite inspection, we wont be inspecting the house for termites. We offer a comprehensive termite inspection and report carried out to Australian Standard AS3660.2
Our inspection is carried out by our owner/technician termite expert Rob Short – who has over 24 years of experience in all aspects of termite work. We take the time necessary to complete a thorough inspection and comprehensive report to give you peace of mind and great value for money.
This service includes:
- Thorough inspection to all accessible internal areas of the building including accessible parts of the roof void & subfloor
- Inspection to external areas of the building including patios, decks and verandahs
- Inspection to the surrounding areas of the property up to 50 meters from the main building
- Sound testing of trim timbers with a donga or tapper to locate termite or moisture damaged timbers
- Moisture checks to wall cavities with a Tramex moisture meter to check for leaks or moisture ingress
- Walls scanned with a FLIR ONE Edge Pro Thermal Camera to look for thermal anomalies that may indicate the presence of termite activity hiding in wall cavities
- A comprehensive written report with photos that clearly outlines our findings and offers recommendations on how to best protect your property from termite attack
- An automatic reminder emailed to you when your next termite inspection is due

Treatments We Offer
Chemical Soil Treatments or “Barrier” Treatments –
We are experts at planning and installing the most effective soil “barrier” treatment around your home. Anyone can spray some chemical around your home, but it takes experience and knowledge to install the treatment in the most effective and thorough way to ensure the treatment does what it is supposed to – Protect your home from termites.
We can protect homes that haven’t had a previous treatment as well as houses that have an existing system that needs updating.
We only use the best industry leading products available – not generic versions or copys to boost our bottom line at the expense of the client. I have been using Termidor to protect peoples houses for almost two decades, because it just works.
Whatever the situation, we can advise you on the best way to protect one of your biggest assets from termite attack.
When installed correctly, a chemicaly treated zone should act like the moat of a castle. So if termites try to invade, they will hit the chemicly treated soil “moat” and be denied access into the building.
Incomplete or poorly installed treatments can allow termites entry into your house.
The chemically treated zone needs to be installed around the whole perimeter of the building. This will often involve drilling holes through hard surfaces such as concrete, bitumen and sometimes tightly laid pavers. Garden, lawn and other soil areas will need to be trenched to ensure the chemical gets down to where it needs to go. Just spraying across the top of the surface will not work and is not to the Australian Standard & Manufactures specification.
I have over 24 years of experience installing chemically treated soil zones and will always go that extra mile to ensure everything is done as carefully & neatly as possible.

Baiting & Monitoring Systems –
Some houses just can’t be adequately protected by a chemical soil treatment.
Some instances of situations where you can’t install a chemical soil treatment in enough places to warrant the cost would be:
- Sloping blocks with retaining walls
- Buildings with high-risk internal joins in the concrete slab that can’t be chemically treated.
- Houses with multiple extensions or additions
- Timber decks or other limitations that don’t allow access to the base of external walls.
- Aesthetics – sometimes you just don’t want to look at a row of drill holes on your back patio with the very expensive Italian floor tiles….
A baiting and monitoring system works differently to a chemically treated soil zone. I have decades of experience & knowledge in station placement, installation and upkeep to ensure the system is maintained to the highest standard.
We use the Trelona Advance Termite Bait System. Unlike most traditional systems that have sticks of timber in them to attract the termites, and hoping they will hang around long enough for the next check to add the bait. Trelona stations are always baited, so it starts working the minute termites intercept them.
Trelona stations can also be used in conjunction with a Termidor treated soil zone in areas where the soil zone is limited.
